An accomplished Television, Film, Stage, and Voice actor, Ramón was raised just outside of Washington, DC, in Virginia. He graduated with a BFA (summa cum laude) in Acting from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, in Pittsburgh.


Ramón is best known for his Television work, especially for his RECURRING roles on Notorious, Guidance, 12 Monkeys, The West Wing, Medium, Killer Instinct, and Sons of Anarchy; As well as memorable GUEST STARRING roles, most recently on: HAWAII 5-0, NCIS: New Orleans, CSI: Cyber, the Player, Castle, Bones, CSI, NCIS, and Gang Related, to name a few.


His film work includes: “30 Nights” (with Dan Fogler), “Happy Endings” (with Maggie Gyllenhaal, dir Don Roos), “xXx: State of the Union” (Ice Cube, Willem DaFoe, Samuel L. Jackson), “Hamlet” (Campbell Scott), and “I am I” (Simon Helberg, Jason Ritter, Jocelyn Towne,) among others.


Ramón began his acting career in New York City theater. He is the winner of a prestigious OBIE award for his performance in “The Romance of Magno Rubio” (Ma-Yi, NY),  a Princess Grace Foundation Award for Excellence in Acting, two Stage Scene LA Awards (Best Supporting Actor, Mendoza, the Malcontent; and Dramatic Performance of the Year, Oedipus), and was nominated by Broadway.com for Best Leading Actor in a Play (Oedipus, Antaeus Theater Co). He has played leading roles in theaters all around the country including such great houses as the Kennedy Center Opera House, the Public Theater (NY), Shakespeare in the Park (NY), the Kirk Douglas, South Coast Rep, La Jolla, Yale Rep, Signature, Lincoln Center, Ma-Yi, the Antaeus Theatre Company (where he is a proud member), and many more.


Ramon is a well known actor in the audiobook industry, where he has been telling stories for years, narrating more than a hundred books.  His titles include the Best Selling Adult Fiction book “This is Where I Leave You” by Jonathan Tropper, the Fantasy series “World of Warcraft: Traveler”,  and he is the voice of the nearly decade long best selling “Diary of A Wimpy Kid” Young Adult series. His audiobook work has garnered many awards including 10 Earphone awards from Audiofile Magazine for excellence in narration, including “Best Voice” two years in a row.


As a philanthropist, Ramón is a member of “Charitable Living”, an organization that volunteers and raises money for multiple charities year round.  He is also a teaching artist - specializing in teaching Shakespeare at juvenile detention centers.


He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress and photographer Lauren J. Irwin.
