An accomplished Television, Film, Stage, and Voice actor, Ramón was raised just outside of Washington, DC, in Virginia. He graduated with a BFA (summa cum laude) in Acting from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, in Pittsburgh.
Ramón is best known for his Television work, especially for his RECURRING roles on Notorious, Guidance, 12 Monkeys, The West Wing, Medium, Killer Instinct, Sons of Anarchy, Dynasty, and MacGyver; As well as many memorable GUEST STARRING roles.
Ramón began his acting career in New York City theater. Since then he has played leading roles around the country and the world including such great houses as the Kennedy Center Opera House, the Public Theater (NY), Shakespeare in the Park, the Kirk Douglas, South Coast Rep, La Jolla, Yale Rep, Signature, Lincoln Center, Ma-Yi, the Bucharest Odeon, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, The Mall of the Emirates Theater in Dubai, and the Antaeus Theatre Company (where he is a proud member).
Recently he won an LA Stage Raw Award (Best Actor) and an LA Scenies Award (Best Actor) for his portrayal of Hamlet (Antaeus). He is the winner of a prestigious OBIE award for his performance in “The Romance of Magno Rubio” (Ma-Yi, NY); A Princess Grace Foundation Award for Excellence in Acting; Two Stage Scene LA Awards: Best Supporting Actor, Mendoza, the Malcontent; and Dramatic Performance of the Year, Oedipus (Antaeus); And was nominated by Broadway.com for Best Leading Actor in a Play, Oedipus, among many other awards and accolades.
Ramon is a very well known actor in the audiobook industry, having narrated more than 350 books, and recently being named a “Golden Voice Narrator”, a lifetime achievement award. His titles include the best selling “This is Where I Leave You” by Jonathan Tropper; The Fantasy phenomenon “World of Warcraft”; Best seller and award winner “Red, White, and Royal Blue” (for which he was nominated for an Audie Award), and he is the voice of the more than a decade long best selling “Diary of A Wimpy Kid” middle school series. His audiobook work has garnered many awards including multiple Earphone Awards from Audiofile Magazine, including “Best Voice” two years in a row, and a prestigious Audie Award, the highest yearly honor in the industry (the audiobook equivalent to an Oscar.)
As a philanthropist, Ramón is a member of “Charitable Living”, an organization that volunteers and raises money for multiple charities year round. He is also a teaching artist- specializing in teaching Shakespeare at juvenile detention centers.
